Quick answer
Both the Cozy Toes Raccoon and Fawn are equally soft and floppy, making them ideal first toys for babies. Your choice comes down to which woodland character you prefer: the playful raccoon or the gentle fawn.
Shared design, different personalities
Both the Raccoon and Fawn are part of the Cozy Toes line, meaning they share the same 17-inch size, ultra-soft ribbed fur, and intentionally understuffed body that drapes easily over a hand or shoulder. This makes them equally suitable for snuggling and for little hands to grasp.
The key difference is visual: the Raccoon features classic gray and black markings with a mischievous expression, while the Fawn offers warm brown tones and a more serene look. Neither is better for development; it's purely about which animal fits your nursery theme or personal taste.
How to choose between them
- Choose the Raccoon if: You want a plush with a bit of playful personality. The raccoon's gray and black coloring stands out against pastel nursery decor.
- Choose the Fawn if: You prefer a softer, more neutral color palette. The fawn's brown tones blend easily with woodland or nature-themed rooms.
- Both are equally functional: They share the same floppy, understuffed design that is safe for newborns and easy for tiny hands to grip. Neither offers a developmental advantage over the other. Focus on aesthetic preference rather than features.
