Compare the Amber Fawn, Lily Llama and Taggies Buddy Dog baby mats by price, personality and final-sale terms so you pick the right 31×23-inch mat.
Quick answer
Choose the Taggies Buddy Dog Baby Mat if you want the most gift-ready option with no final-sale restriction. Pick the Amber Fawn or Lily Llama Baby Mat only if you love the animal and accept that both are final sale and excluded from coupons.
Why the final-sale label changes the decision
The Amber Fawn and Lily Llama mats are marked final sale and excluded from all coupons, while the Taggies Buddy Dog mat carries no such restriction in the catalog. That difference matters more than the animal design if you are buying before a baby shower or want the option to return an unopened mat.
All three mats share the same 31×23-inch size, plush top and durable backside fabric, so the practical choice comes down to price, design preference and purchase terms rather than a difference in footprint.
Price versus personality
At catalog prices, the Lily Llama mat is the lowest-cost entry, the Amber Fawn sits in the middle and the Taggies Buddy Dog is the highest. The gaps are modest, so do not let a few dollars push you toward a design the parents will not use.
A baby mat is often kept in a diaper bag or left on the floor for tummy time, so pick the animal that fits the nursery theme or the parents' sense of humor. If you are buying as a gift, the Buddy Dog's broader appeal and unrestricted terms make it the safer default.
When to choose a final-sale mat anyway
If the recipient has already registered for the Amber Fawn or Lily Llama design, or you are buying for your own home and are confident about the choice, the final-sale terms are acceptable. Just confirm the design before checkout, because neither mat can be returned or discounted with a coupon.
For a newborn, any of the three works as a supervised play surface; none of the catalog records list a maximum age or weight, so treat the mat as a floor-time accessory rather than a sleep surface.
Decision rules for choosing your mat
- If you need a returnable gift: Choose the Taggies Buddy Dog Baby Mat. It is the only one of the three without a final-sale or coupon-exclusion note in the catalog. Check the product page for current availability before you wrap it.
- If the nursery theme is woodland or you want the lowest price: Choose the Amber Fawn or Lily Llama Baby Mat, but only after confirming the design with the recipient. Both are final sale, so a change of mind is not an option. Screenshot the design and confirm the animal before ordering.
- If you are unsure about size or use: All three mats measure 31×23 inches and share a plush top with a durable backside. None of the catalog records state a weight limit or age range, so use the mat for supervised floor play and tummy time rather than sleep. Measure your play space first; the 31×23-inch footprint is the same across all three.
Product facts at a glance
- Taggies Buddy Dog Baby Mat – 31×23″: Taggies Buddy Dog Baby Mat is 31×23 inches with a plush top and durable backside fabric, and it is not marked final sale. The unrestricted purchase terms make it the easiest mat to give as a shower gift or return if the design is not right.
Taggies Buddy Dog Baby Mat – 31×23″ - Amber Fawn Baby Mat – 31×23″: Amber Fawn Baby Mat is 31×23 inches, made with plush and a durable backside, and is excluded from coupons and final sale. You get the same usable size and construction, but you must commit to the fawn design before checkout.
